Checklist of required hardware and
software
The purpose of this document is to provide the user with a list of
items to get started with Spirent's
TeraRouting Tester.
Overview
The following components are required:
- Obtain the following items from your account
team
- Unzip password for the latest firmware
- Unzip password for the TRT client application
- License key for the TRT client application (S/N of chassis
required)
- SmartBits 600 or 6000 chassis connected to the network (for help
setting up the chassis, click here)
- SmartBits TeraMetrics module installed in the chassis (example:
LAN-3301A, LAN-3325A)
- TeraRouting Tester (TRT) client applications installed on the
workstation (to
download, click here)
- Latest firmware loaded on the SmartBits chassis and Terametrics modules (to
download, click here) **
- Latest RPM files loaded on the TeraMetrics modules (RPM files are
included when TRT is installed) **
- TRT License key copied into the TRT directory - default directory
below
- C:\Program Files\SmartBits\TRT Interactive

After the above steps are complete, launch TRT and connect to the
SmartBits chassis (for help, click here)
