Introduction

The purpose of this document is to provide step-by-step instructions on how to configure TRT to connect to the
SmartBits 600 or 6000 chassis.

Prerequisites

Requirements

The following are required prior to proceeding to the next steps.

• IP address configured on the SmartBits chassis and connected to the network (if not, click here)
  
• Supported firmware and RPM files loaded on the chassis and modules (if not, click here)
• TRT client software loaded on the workstation (if key is required, click here to request from your account team)
  

Components Used

The following components were used in this example:

• TeraRouting Tester v4.50
• Windows XP Professsional SP2
• SmartBits 6000B chassis

Launch TRT on your Workstation

Click on Start --> All Programs --> SmartBits Applications --> TRT Interactive --> TeraRouting

Setting the SmartBits Chassis IP address

Adding the SmartBits IP address with TRT

Hit Ctrl+F8 or click on the icon seen below

Click on Add IP, put in the IP address of the SmartBits chassis, and click OK. Make sure the checkbox is selected
on the left side of the IP address and click OK again.

Hit F8 or click on the icon seen below. You should now see "Connections=1" and a green LED to the left of it
